Nate Doyle has been self publishing their work since 2006. Under the moniker Crooked Teeth Comics - often described as a "one person anthology" - Doyle collects a variety of autobiography work, shorts and vignettes that either ooze with sentiment or lend themselves to bouts of irate psychedelia and explorative drawing. With Crooked Teeth #6 begins the serialization of Blood and Thunder. A work of fiction, this Americana drama confronts themes of violence and empathy as the protagonists, Miriam and Everett, determine their own fates .
The epic fantasy work Dungeon Mage, created, written and drawn by Doyle, debuted in 2023. What will be episodic installments following the wizard Oaken of Korm as they escape dungeons, endure heart breaking betrayal and battle necomancers intent on unleashing chaos across the continent of Sjorn, bringing ruin to its peoples. Can Oaken and their allies prevail or is all lost? The second issue is in the works with a 2026 release.

Outside comics work Doyle maintains a rigorous sketchbook practice resulting in the collection Incorrectly Anatomical; a tome of dense exploratory drawing, painting and process.

Doyle's work has appeared in numerous publications and formats. With work collected in comics anthologies published by Domino Books, Freak Comics, Image Comics, Random House, Birdcage Bottom Books and the Providence Comics Consortium. Doyle lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
